One symphony concert, one city: Dalian, a coastal city, becomes majestic and charming in the romantic and bright summer due to a wonderful symphony concert. In People Culture Club on July 7, “Aesthetic Four Seasons• Summer” Concert presented by Dalian Art College comes in time. The theme concert not only becomes the cultural and artistic symbol of Dalian Art College, but also builds the cultural and artistic brand of Dalian City.
        The symphony orchestra constituted by the specialties, professors, teachers and students from School of Music of Dalian Art College. The music chief is Mr. Cheng Guanyou, who is graduated from Ukraine Odessa National Conservatory of Music and holds the post of college teacher. The viola chief is Mr. Zhu Wei, who was the viola chief in China National Symphony Orchestra, and is acting as the existing professor in Dalian Art College. The violoncello chief is Mr. Jaing Lixing, who was the country-level actor in China National Symphony Orchestra and the winner of special allowance from the State Council and is acting the college professor now. The principal contrabass is Mr. Wang Xiaoran, who was the contrabass player in CNSO and is the vice-president of Dalian Art College and the dean of School of Music. The orchestra also boasts Ou Cuifeng, the trumpet player with the title of “the first trumpet player in China”, the original principal trumpet in China National Symphony Orchestra, the country-level player in China, the winner of special allowance from the State Council and the existing college professor, as well as Gaoyang, the original second-level player in China and China National Symphony Orchestra and the exiting college professor. The young orchestra is promoted to a new level upon their transmission and guidance.

        The classics of numerous masters and the college repertoires were played in the concert. Egmont Overture (Beethoven) affects people strongly with heroic conception and rigorous and perfect forms. A Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendelssohn) brings the mythical illusion, mysterious color of nature and poetic illusions into the romantic summer’s night. The extract from Nutcracker Prelude (Tchaikovsky) is elegant and delicate sometimes or fast and bright sometimes, making the people pleased. The fourth movement of Ninth Symphony (Dvorak) combines the magnificence and morbidezza at just the right level. The percussion music highlights precision and force, and contains new theme whilst summarizing. A torrent of emotion is intertwined, forming a glorious end. 
        Jasmine Flower recomposed by Gao Dalin, a conductor, composer and the standing conductor and music director in the college newly interpreted the Chinese classic song into the form of symphony. The performance Pirates of the Caribbean makes us review the shocking and breathtaking scene and plot in movie and embodies the youth and vigor of the orchestra, especially the Treble tone of trumpet fully reflects the foundation of players. On the request of the audiences, the band encores Radetzky March amidst the warm applause. The concert consummates in joyful atmosphere.   
        It is reported that “Aesthetic Four Seasons• Summer” Concert is a special performance concert presented by Dalian Art College with the theme of season, which is a music feast created in virtue of classics and new works. The concert is held for four times annually and in the forms that the folk concert and symphony concert are performed alternatively. “Aesthetic Four Seasons• Summer” Concert makes a appointment with the fans in the golden autumn, bring the beauty and artistic edification to the citizens and the audiences.
