Jiang Lixing is a famous Chinese cellist in National Class-A performer in the China National Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association, and Principal Cellist of the China National Symphony Orchestra. He was granted a special government allowance by the State Council. He graduated from the Orchestral Instruments Department of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1969; was the only honored recipient of two performance prizes for solo and ensemble in 1985 and served as the principal cellist of the Chamber Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1986.  He visited the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Kong Hong and Macao with the group. He held solo and ensemble concerts around China, won favorable comments from domestic and foreign experts as well as audiences, and often made records and videos at radio and television stations, leaving good impressions on his audiences. In recent years, he has collaborated with famous American conductors Bori and Dawenbor, famous British conductors Richard and Stam, famous Chinese conductors Li Delun, Han Zhongjie etc, to perform successful cello concerto concerts with the China National Symphony Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra. In 1994, he and American Chinese violinist Mr. Du Junliang together performed Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin and Cello at the Beijing Concert Hall, and their performance highly acclaimed. “I am very surprised that there is such an excellent cellist in China, and he is outstanding even in the United States”, conductor Dawenbor said to reporters. Guang Ming Daily, China Culture Daily, and Chinese Music Weekly reported his comments. In collaboration with Doctor Chen Zuohuang and famous Chinese conductor Yao Xiaorong after the China National Symphony Orchestra was re-organized, he performed Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and other concertos with the China National Symphony Orchestra. Famous conductor Li Delun remarks on him, “He is an excellent cellist in China, having undergone good music education and strict training once, has solid, extensive skills and a beautiful timbre in his performance, with rich music expressiveness. I had many successful performances together with him, and our collaboration has been very pleasant.” In 1999, he was included in the International Who’s Who published by the Research Center for World Cultures and Arts and China International Interchange Press.
