Symphony Concert in Dalian Art College Pushed up the Coolest ¡°Northeast Wind¡±

  The music feast ¡°Summer of Harbin¡± sponsored by Ministry of Culture on August 6 pushed the colorful music wind. As the first round of ¡°northeast wind¡±, the symphony concert in Dalian Art College offered a high-quality performance in Harbin Youth Palace.
  
  It is reported that ¡°Summer of Harbin¡± music festival was founded in 1961, which is called as ¡°China top-three music festival¡± together with ¡°Spring of Shanghai¡± Concert and ¡°Yang Cheng Music Flower Show¡±. The music festival has been taking ¡°national level, international direction and mass participation¡± as the policy.

                           

  The classics of numerous masters and the college repertoires were played in the concert. Egmont Overture (Beethoven) affected the people strongly with heroic conception and rigorous and perfect forms. A Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendelssohn) brought the mythical illusion, mysterious color in nature and poetic illusions into the romantic summer¡¯s night. The extract from Nutcracker Prelude (Tchaikovsky) was elegant and delicate sometimes or fast and bright sometimes, making the people pleased. The fourth movement of Ninth Symphony (Dvorak) combined the magnificence and morbidezza at just the right level. The percussion music highlighted precision and force, and bred new theme whilst summarizing. A torrent of emotion was intertwined, forming a glorious end.

                       

  Jasmine Flower recomposed by Gao Dalin, a conductor, composer and the standing conductor and music director in the college newly interpreted the Chinese classic song into the form of symphony. The performance Pirates of the Caribbean made us review the shocking and breathtaking scene and plot in movie and embodies the youth and vigor of the orchestra, especially the Treble tone of trumpet fully reflects the foundation of players. The concert consummated in joyful atmosphere and warm applause.

  The predecessor of the symphony orchestra of Dalian Art College is string music and wind music indoor orchestra, which is developed into the large-scale symphony orchestra with over 80 persons (such as the college professors, young teachers, undergraduates, etc.) passing through a dozen years. The orchestra invites Mr. Gao Dalin, the famous music producer, composer and conductor as the standing conductor. The music chief is Mr. Cheng Guanyou, who is graduated from Ukraine Odessa National Conservatory of Music. The violoncello chief is Mr. Jiang Lixing, who is a famous cellist and the country-level actor in China National Symphony Orchestra. The viola chief is Mr. Zhu Wei, who is the country-level actor and was the principal violist in China National Symphony Orchestra. The principal trumpet is Mr. Ou Cuifeng, who was the principal trumpet of China National Symphony Orchestra. The contrabass chief is Mr. Wang Xiaoran, who is the principal contrabass in China National Symphony Orchestra.

  The orchestra debuted large-scale oratorio Johann Adam in Dalian Development Zone Grand Theatre in June 2012. In that year, Johann Adam was performed in Grand National Theatre and Dalian People Culture Club. The theatre is the large-scale original works in honor of 40th anniversary of Sino-Germany Diplomatic Relations and 420th birthday of Johann Adam. The performance achieved a success, winning good praise from the society and the personages in music circle. The orchestra performed ¡°Aesthetic Four Seasons• Summer Concert¡± ¨Cin the activity of ¡°Cultural people-benefiting project ¨C 100 performance in 100 days¡± in Dalian Jinzhou New District in September 2012. The orchestra performed New Year Concert in Dalian People Culture Club in December 2012, winning the consistent praise from the society. The orchestra consummated ¡°Aesthetic Four Seasons Concert ¨C Spring and Summer Concert¡± in 2013 and the performance of New Year Concert in Jinzhou New District 2014. at present, the orchestra is rehearing large-scale oratorio ¨C Soul of Cherry.
