Zuo Ping is a associate professor. His oil painting Song of Nomonhan participated in the 50th anniversary exhibition of  the Liaoning Artists Association in 2006, winning the award of “excellent”. His oil painting, The Wrestler-Wu Rijin participated in “Spirit of the Time – exhibition of national figure and portrait oil paintings” held by the Chinese Artists Association in 2007. His oil painting The Wrestler of Nomonhan participated in the second “China – ASEAN Youth Artwork Creation Competition” held by the Chinese Artists Association in 2007. His oil painting Portrait of Meng He participated in “Kanto School – Exhibition of New Generation Art Works” held in four northeast cities (Changchun, Harbin, Dalian and Shenyang) and won the award of “excellent”. His oil painting The Wrestler-Wu Rijin was published in the core publication of Chinese art – Mei Yuan (the first edition in 2008). He was listed as one of the top-20 State oil painters in Dalian in 2008.
