Cong Peng was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in July 1980. He graduated from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts  with a Major in Industrial Design from the Department of Industrial Design in 2004. In September, 2007 he participated in a graduate training class with a Major in Artistic Design at the Graduate School of Northeast University. He is an assistant and lecturer in the School of Art & Design, Dalian Art College. He is a reviewing member of the International Skills Identification Association, the director of the China Artists Association; a member of the CHINAASC, a member of the China Fashion and Color Association; a member of the Liaoning Decoration Association and a registered landscape designer. He has published Freehand Sketching of Expo Park and Expression Techniques of Manual Effect Drawings. His works have won prizes in several national design competitions.
