The graceful orchestral music resounded through the Mass Culture Center in Jinzhou New Zone on December 28, 2013 and People¡¯s Culture Club on March 3, 2014. Two New Year concerts offered by Dalian Art College ushered the guests stepping into a New Year whilst surging in the spirit and music wave and finished the perfect music travel about farewell to the old year and congratulations to the New Year.
The fork orchestra played Enjoyable Grand Mansion Gate¨C Blue Moon in Lu Gou, Liuyang River, Caprice about Dabo River, Blooming Flowers and Full Moon and Heroes' Song, showing the colorful fork music and profound cultural connotation depending on the characteristic artistic charm of Gu Zheng, dulcimer, flute, erhu and pipa. The symphony orchestra played classic chapters William Tell, Somewhere in Time and Lightning Polka, making the audiences immersed in the music flowing deeply.
The fork orchestra has taken the crown several times in these professional competitions, such as International Folk Music Festival in the Republic of Belarus, Liaoning Instrumental Music Performance, etc. Mr. Cheng Guanyou, as European Violin player, is also the violin chief in symphony orchestra of the college. The viola chief is Mr. Zhu Wei, who is the famous viola player and was the country-level actor in China National Symphony Orchestra, and acting as the existing professor in Dalian Art College. The violoncello chief is Mr. Jaing Lixing, who is the famous violoncello player, the country-level actor in China National Symphony Orchestra, and the existing professor in Dalian Art College. The contrabass chief is Mr. Wang Xiaoran, who was the contrabass player in CNSO and is the vice-president of Dalian Art College and the dean of School of Music. The conductor is Mr. Gao Dalin.
Characterized by performins arts and practice teaching, the college provides multiple practice opportunities for the students in various majors. The students and teachers in Dalian Art College create many good results in competitions and performances at home and abroad. For example, the original works Fun in the Sean and The Puppetmaster respectively won the second price in group dance performance and chapter in ¡°Tao Li Cup¡± dance competition; the boy¡¯s chorus won the silver award in the 8th China Music Golden Bell Award Chorus Competition, two times of Golden Jasmine Awards in Mainland and Taiwan Chorus Festival and expressed their graceful bearing in CCTV Yong Singer Competition. The original oratorio Johann Adam concert debuts in Grand National Theatre, winning high and good praise.
