On March 31, Dalian Art College "Promoting Reading and Building a Scholarly Campus" Reading Awarding Ceremony was held in the library’s lecture hall. Secretary Secretary-General Si Yang of the College’s Youth League Committee, Director Chen Changdong of the Basic Teaching Department, Vice President of the Library Wang Hua attended this event. This event granted nearly 20 awards such as "Scholarly School" and "Scholarly Individual".
The event was jointly organized by Dalian Art College Library and Dalian Art College Communist Youth League Committee. Participants were faculty and students from school agencies, and departments.
Wang Hua, Deputy Director of the Library, said the joys of reading lay in its close proximity of books and bathing in the grace of culture. In those beautiful college days accompanied by the books, we stopped at the library, fell in love with the library, harvested the brilliant glitter of this era and wisdom. Activities were to motivate the enthusiasm of teachers to enhance the wisdom and ability of education, to cultivate students’ reading habits, enrich the cultural background. She also said that more new books were introduced to the library constantly. In order to set off a wave of reading amongst schools, the library will continue to organize activities similar to this one.
