The teachers and students ushered in Mr. Zhang Daxun, a famous contrabass player in the world music circle while rehearsing for “Aesthetic Four Seasons · Summer” concert in the rehearse room of School of Music on June 12.
   
  Before giving lessons, Zhang Daxun appreciated the splendid performance of the orchestra and gave high evaluation. Afterwards, he gave an interesting speech for the students of the double bass of the orchestra. Professor Zhang Daxun explained the profound theories in simple language. He demonstrated his rigorous music accomplishments from playing fingering to daily peactise, from performance evaluation to performance skills, winning the applause of teachers and students. Tens of students benefit a lot from the speech.  

  Wang Xiaoran, the Vice-president of the college and the Dean of School of Music expressed his thanks to Zhang Daxun and noticed that on the face of the students and teachers, our college will invite Mr. Zhang Daxun for more times, thus most students will benefit from the music development road.

Background information:
  
 Zhang Daxun, 35 years old, was born in a music family in Harbin. He entered into the attached Middle School of Central Controversy of Music when he was ten, and was admitted into Indiana University for diploma of artist. His teacher is Professor Lawrence Hearst. Now, he holds the post of lifetime professor in University of Texas at Austin.
