Song Weihang’s mother said with emotion that “The College has given so much help to my child unexpectedly, and my child could safely celebrate the Spring Festival due to his school. We are not afraid any more. We thank our school leaders’ care and students’ earnesty!” After knowing that Song Weihang was suffering from a serious illness, helpless and had a hard time, Dalian Art College spared no effort to lend a helping hand. President Wang Xianjun’s mobilization and arrangement was responded by plenty of enthusiastic staff and students. The College immediately organized to hold an emergency meeting and tried every means to rescue him, and Executive Dean Wang Jing and Assistant Dean Liu Yongfu were active to carry out coordination and arrangement. The college widely published a loving-heart appeal through Wechat, Campus Network, student union, etc., and teacher Ren Xin from students’ affairs office went to No. 2 Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, knew his illness and visited and condoled on behalf of the College. The school authority won over cross-region help from blood center by repeated communication, and the College contacted Shanxi Blood Center in Shanxi by Dalian Blood Center to make safe and sufficient supply of blood platelet needed by Song Weihang during Chinese New Year. The principal of Dalian Blood Center said that Dalian Art College was our friendly unit which also performed noticeably well, so when the student of Dalian Art College was in trouble, the leader and doctor from blood center would try their best to help student solve problems by all means.
