After our college’s men’s chorus won the “Gold Jasmine Award” of the “Cross-Strait Chorus Festival”, our chorus was invited by China Musician Association to perform tour show and then won the “Gold Tour Award” in the Eighth Cross-Strait Chorus Festival – “For Art, For Love”. We, as the only demonstrative chorus, gave a special lecture at the festival. Later, we song in the music concerts held in Taiwan, Hualien and Taichung.
　　  Cross-Strait Music Exchange Association was hosted by China Musician Association, Fuzhou People’s Government and Taiwan Hualien County Government. This year was its 7th birthday since it was held in 2008. The scale of chorus festival is expanding and the level is improving and the impact of competition is enhancing day by day. It has become the brand name for art communication and cultural exchange between China and Taiwan.
　　  There are 21 choruses participating in this competition, performance and tour show including 14 mainland china choruses and 7 Taiwan choruses. The number of participator of this festival exceeds 1200. This year’s festival became the biggest and highest leveled cross-strait cultural exchange festival. Gold Award Tour is the expanded form of activity based on the successful previous experiences. Except for competition and performance, it was added for the first time. We, the previous gold award winner, are specially invited to the touring activity in order to display our glamour as the gold award chorus and promote the understanding and friendship between Chinese people and Taiwan people and make the chorus festival become the platform for cross-strait interaction.
　　The experts in the festival praised our musical professionalism of our men’s chorus and said our performance was very expertise and artistic.
