In March, the green grass is flourishing and the atmosphere is refreshing. It was exactly good time for campus to carry out greening work. In order to complete President’s direction of “paying close attention to do College greening work well” so as to provide numerous teachers and students with civilized and healthy campus environment, the College organized all staff to conduct voluntary labor in the afternoon of March 27. With the cooperation of Office of General Services, every office of the depts and every secondary college, they cleared macadam, withered grass of each responsible area and transferred hilling needed.
In the labor for over 3 hours, we formed a group of 3 or 2 persons. Some uprooted weeds with shovel and some carefully picked up every piece of macadam, and all thee created a busy scene in full blast. The green was seeded with practical actions by soil, sweat, and loving heart. Although sweating like a pig, we enjoyed it extremely with happy laughter and cheerful voices. A harmonious and beautiful picture was created by everyone’s busy figure and neat campus background.

The voluntary labor not only improved consciousness of everyone to cherish campus environment, but also engaged everyone to participate in greening and environmental protection practice in person which brought fresh smell to the campus. Everyone said that they would start with themselves to drive colleagues and students around them to take part in the activity to care for campus environment and regard green as our life theme, bear the responsibility of creating green campus with action and contribute to co-building of our green campus of Dalian Art College in the future work and life.
