The first session the third faculty and trade union congress was held in the Report Hall, Floor 1 of the Library on March 12 and March 14. The meeting honored the advanced persons, sought for suggestions, summarized the past and deployed the work in the future. The vice-president Liu Yongfu, the chairman of the party working committee of the college presided over the meeting.

  Yu Aihua, the secretary of college party committee read Decision about Honoring Advanced Collectives and Individuals in 2013 and Decision about Selecting Persons as “127 Project” Teacher Team. Afterwards, the college leaders presented prize to the award-winning organizations and individuals.

  Yu Jiayou made a work statement in 2013 on behalf of the college on March 12. The report stated that: the last year is the colorful year for the college development. The new campus covering thousands Mu is put into operation under the correct direction of Board of Directors, Board of College Affairs and Party Committee, fundamentally changing the teaching conditions and obviously improving the quantity and quality of talents. The college obtained outstanding performance in various ratings. The undergraduate major passed qualified evaluation with the joint efforts of the staff. The college makes great progress in scientific research and discipline construction, party construction and student management, teaching staff, art performance, etc. and accelerates the construction space. Looking ahead, the college will comprehensively carry out qualified evaluation and professional evaluation, improve teaching quality, strengthen the teaching staff and drive the scientific research and disciple construction to a new stage in 2014.
   
  During the recess on March 13, the labor union teams at each level organized group discussion in the aspects of “dream of Dalian Art College” and the relationship between college development and individuals. The labor union summarized the suggestions of each team and conveyed in the meeting.
   
  On March 14, Yu Aihua, secretary of the party committee, expressed that the college experienced earth-shaking changes in the past year under the joint efforts of all persons in Dalian Art College. In the next year, the faculty and staff will closely connect the individual interests with college development, take the college development as own duty, follow with the college development space and respond the college appeals. Strictly obey the requirements of centering on the central tasks and serving the college. Improve the level of teaching staff, strengthen safety and stability of college and drive all college work to a new stage in 2014.
   
  Finally, the chairman Wang Xianjun expressed the heartfelt congratulations to the success of faculty and trade union congress on behalf of Board of Directors and two committees. Wang Xianjun indicated that the college had achieved remarkable achievements and kept favorable development momentum in various causes. As the first batch of users and managers, the people in Dalian Art College shall demonstrate sense of being master and accomplish the mission with the best working state. Firmly establish the teaching idea of “three everything”; do each work well; undertake each responsibility; achieve “everything is assumed and in exquisite process, is monitored, documented and well ended”, in order to realize the target of “building a classic and multi-discipline art college”.
