At the symposium held in the VIP room, Executive Director Wang Jing firstly introduced the geographical location of our college, its history of establishment and the characteristics of running. Christopher Vaneman, an associate professor of flute and musicology, introduced the school's history and specialties and hoped both sides could enhance exchanges and cooperation in the future.

At the end of the meeting, Executive Director Wang Jing presented to the delegation a masterpiece from Mr. Wang Xianjun, Chairman of Dalian Art College, and works from teachers and students. The delegation gave souvenirs such as excellent pottery works of art design graduates and centennial commemorative CDs.

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation came to the School of Music, where its Dean, Gao Dalin gave a detailed introduction to the history, evolution and performance characteristics of Chinese national musical instruments, giving foreign experts a preliminary understanding of them. Afterwards, the national orchestra played the folk music works - "Spring" for experts who spoke highly of the performance, and the violinist Sarah Johnson, pianist Douglas Weeks even excitedly shed tears. Delegates said the orchestra must be well-trained after a long period of rigorous training, and the orchestra students and teachers were seriously involved, which deeply touched them. Dr.Jeff Barker, President of Converse College, told everyone that it is clear that your command is very good and all you have to do is follow the instructions. Everyonegreeted the comments with tumultuous applause. After the visit, the delegation from the Converse College in the United States held a wonderful concert in the lecture hall of the library. The musicians played nine wonderful tracks from the classical music school to the impressionism school. Their performance was unique. Before the performance ended, American musicians and Chinese teachers cooperated together on the Chinese song "The Moon Represents My Heart" and won the enthusiastic applause of the teachers and students on the scene, which further proved that "music is without borders." During the master class on the second day, five experts offered master class in different classrooms at the same time, and one-on-one guidance for a number of professional students.

Dean of the School of Music Gao Dalin believed that "this exchange with Converse College is very necessary to open up the vision of teachers and students, and to increase interaction.
