On January 25, Professor SunWei , CEO / founder of VIVEDU , and head of HTC VIVE Campus Division, went to the College for exchange. Leaders from the Academic Affairs Office, Practical Teaching Management Center, Innovation School and other secondary schools learned some new pieces of information from the experience of the expert.

During the visit and exchange, Executive Director Wang Jing and Dr. Sun Wei visited the History Museum of the College. Dr. Sun Wei was deeply shocked by the achievements made by Dalian Art College in recent years and believed that the College will be better.

Subsequently, Professor Sun Wei introduced the cutting-edge technology in the virtual reality world by the theme"Virtual Reality - An Educational Revolution Is Undergoing", and he demonstrated how to apply the experience, interactive, immersing and practical teaching methods created by virtual reality, how to make use of the existing traditional teaching modes, how to surpass the existing and practical teaching and training methods, and how to participate in the research and development of virtual reality science effectively.

Vice President Wang Yinzhang said that as the most advanced digital information application technology, virtual reality technology can be applied to the field of education. It would be a great innovation.

Background information:

Professor Sun Wei obtained his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Illinois in 1990 and tenured as a professor in computer science from Florida State University in Miami from 1990 to 2003. From 2007 onwards, he was the executive president of Beijing Software Industry Association. From 2004 to 2016, he founded Beihang University School of Aerospace Software, and served as its Dean and Professor. He is the author of seven books, more than 80 papers, including over 10 published in the world's top journals.

Currently, he is the chairman of Shuanglong Aerosol Venture Capital Fund. He is committed to incubating and investing in innovative enterprises in fields such as virtual reality, Internet + and big data, and has completed the investment of nearly 30 enterprises. He was named "2016 Top Ten Persons of Guizhou Big Data" and served as "Member of Guizhou Provincial Big Data Experts’ Advisory Committee". As a volunteer since 2009, the principal led the team together with Wang Xuehong and Chen Wenqi (who are a couple) to jointly establish Guizhou Shenghua Vocational College with the aim of education and poverty alleviation. By the end of 2014, they jointly initiated the construction of "Guizhou Bainiaohe Digital Town" and served as "the town head", practicing industrial poverty alleviation. Currently, he is leading the VIVEDU and the world's virtual reality flagship HTC VIVE Campus Division, focusing on application and integration of virtual reality and higher education / vocational education.
