Japanese Soka University Delegation Visited Our College for Exchange May 3, 2016

On May 3, a delegation from Japanese Soka University, represented by Ms. Takahashi, came to visit and exchange in our college, and was received warmly by leaders of the college and representatives of teachers and students in the name of friendship.

Students of Ikeda Reading Association of our college expressed the welcome to Ms. Takahashi and their exchange of views on the Sino-Japanese cultural exchange with the song "Cherry Blossoms" for the Soka University delegation and the poem "Education, Peace and Light of Culture". In response, Ms. Takahashi expressed her surprise and happy toward those students¡¯ preparation for the delegation. Despite of the cold and rainy day, she was warmed by them.

After the welcome ceremony, accompanied by Chairman Wang Xianjun and relevant leaders, the delegation visited with great interest the library stone ¡°Jun¡±, the History Museum, the Ikeda Daisaku Reading Association, Ikeda Daisaku Institute and the practical teaching exhibitions, and took a photo with students of the Ikeda Daisaku Reading Association in front of the stone ¡°Jun¡±.

In the VIP room, the leaders of the college conducted in-depth exchanges with Ms. Takahashi and hoped that both sides could enhance exchanges and cooperation in the future. Ms. Takahashi also warmly invited teachers and students of our college to study and exchange in Japan to enhance their feelings. At the end of the meeting, Chairman Wang Xianjun presented to the delegation pottery bottles handmade by students from Dalian Art College. When talking about Ms. Takahashi, Wang Xianjun, the chairman of the board, said Ms. Takahashi is an ordinary person. However, he was impressed by her sincerity and enthusiasm she showed during the visit to Japan. Ordinary and valuable quality were found behind her ordinary characters that she loves peace, pursues beauty, and possess a noble heart. This is also the point most worthy of our study. Ms. Takahashi also said she was very happy to visit our college and hope to have closer development with us in the future.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited various departments and listened to the play "City of the Sky" produced by the Japanese musician Joe Hisaishi, a Symphony Orchestra which broke the boundaries of language with beautiful and moving music, and greatly touched the delegation.
