Xu Ziqi is the Dean of the School of Fashion, an associate professor, a famous designer, a provincial and professional leader and a master costume designer in Liaoning Province. She is also the Director and the Deputy Secretary General of the Liaoning Costume Designers Association. She was rated “industrial model” in the 20th Anniversary of the Dalian Costume Association and one of the “top-10 technical elite” in the Liaoning clothing industry at the 30th Anniversary of the Reform. Her designs have won several awards in professional competitions at all levels and she has acted as the judge in several clothing competitions. She has published 5 teaching materials including Design of Formal Dress and Foundations of Clothing Composition. Foundations of Knitting was one of the first provincial planning teaching materials used in undergraduate courses in colleges during the 12th “five-year plan” period in 2013. She has published over 20 professional papers. She won the first prize for achievements in the appraisal of  teaching Art in three provinces in Northeast of China in 2006. The course she supervised was rated as an “Provincial Excellent Course” in 2008. The project under her charge won “the second prize in teaching achievement in Liaoning Province”. Her Costume Design teaching group was rated as “excellent provincial teaching group” in 2009 and her group’s Costume Design was rated as “the highest level in Liaoning regular colleges and universities”. She was rated as “the professional leader in Liaoning regular colleges and universities” in 2010. The project under her charge won “the second prize in teaching achievement in Liaoning Province” in 2012. She has proactively guided the students in practical teaching and has won several best teacher and education awards. She has lectured about such topics as Costume Design, 3D Cutting, Costume Effect Drawing, Clothing Accessories Design and Making, etc.
