Li Dongsheng teaches in Department of Fine Art and is the director of teaching and research in painting. He was born in Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province in July 1972 and graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts with a Major in Chinese Painting. He has been teaching Art since 2000 and is the member of the Dalian Artist Association. He joined the Jiusan Society in 2009. His Chinese paintings have participated in several provincial and municipal exhibitions and have won awards. His works have been published in major journals such as Grand Sight about Art, Art Education, Grand Stage, etc. He published the article, Chinese Painting History and Theory Research in December 2011 and Classics of Modern Art Masters – Li Dongsheng in December 2012. His work Pioneer for the New was admitted into the national art works exhibition for the 85th anniversary of People’s Liberation Army and the 12th Art Works Exhibition for the whole armed forces.
