On September 4, the 2016 New Military Training Camp Closure Ceremony was held ceremoniously at the Athletics Stadium. Associate Dean Liu Yongfu, Li Jian, Director of the Party & Mass Office, Ren Sibin, the Head of Student Affairs Department, Wang Taibin, the Director of Student Affairs Office, and secretaries of the Party Branches of all secondary schools, the secretaries of the League Committee of the College and sub-committees under it attended the ceremony.

The ceremony began with the majestic national anthem, and nearly 2,700 freshmen who participated in the College's 2016 Freshman Military Training won the warm applause at a step-by-step alignment. On the closing ceremony also advanced contingent and individuals with outstanding performance in the military training were commented. During the ceremony, Associate Dean Liu Yongfu pointed out in his speech that he hoped that freshmen of the College can set up a clear target, display new images, continuously upgrade themselves and achieve all-round development before the new university life begins.

The one-week military training marked the beginning of the university life of nearly 2,700 students who had experienced the test of heat and exhaustion, who had sweated and worked hard to win glory for their company, who had enhanced the sense of unity and collective honor, and who had enriched their life experience.
